Rabies in imported puppies?

The love that rescue praise abroad for their work, but why send the dogs into the United Kingdom. We have hundreds if not thousands of healthy loving dogs in rescue centers, which have been real estate. These dogs are ready to go, clean, healthy, housebroken will need and homeless through no fault of their own, not us, the risk of rabies should be brought into this move and thos practice be stopped. I speak of stray Dogs / homeless people from abroad who do not make people responsible for their own pets

All imported dogs have either a pet passport, or have undergone Quarantine. Rabies is not the problem here, but the enormous cost of moving unwanted dogs to a place that is already set to more than 2000 unwanted dogs every week is crazy. The money would be better spent on neutering campaign, a public awareness campaign and setting up shelters in the country of origin.
