pitbull in the uk and i dont agree with the law?
i have a pitbull and a staffy and they got puppy trained,, adolensece trained and now im taking them to k9 training the pitbull is always on a lead and always has a muzzle on.
she is regiestered as an american staff and they aint illegal in the uk,,
if she hasnt attacked anyone or bitten anyone or barked in the wrong way and there is nothing to suspect she is going to attack
i no the law on pitublls in the uk and i was lead to belive
1.they are illegal under dangerous dog attack 1991
2.you can get 6 months in jail and a fine
3.the dog gets put down
4.if the dog is muzzled, on a lead, regiestered,insured, and microchip is it legal
i belive pitbulls are dangerous dog if baught up wrong or breed for the wrong reasons
if u research up you will find out rottweilers are more dangerous and a bigger threat than pitbulls

I have one Amstaff and one boxer/pit bull mix – best dogs ever. I also work with a pit bull rescue and you would be amazed at the horrible things that people do to these dogs. There are many myths out there about these dogs and Rachel you touched on one of them. It is pure speculation about the PSI. There could not be any truly conclusive tests done to measure something like the strongest breed PSI. Dogs bite with varying pressure depending on the situation and what factors are driving the bite at that point in time. A dog can’t be instructed to bite down on a measuring devise as hard as possible, so a tester could have no way of knowing whether or not a particular dog being tested is actually using its jaws capacity in any given testing phase. There is also a large size variation in any breed, one must assume strength varies as well. A large PB may bite harder than a small rottie or german shepherd while a standard sized pb my not have as much jaw power as a larger rottie etc… also, if one breed is to claim highest bite pressure, all breeds would have to be compared… Another myth is that pbs have locking jaws, also not true.
